Bargains in store at new Maroubra shop

Keen shoppers with an eye for quality will get the opportunity to bag a bargain with the opening of a new ANGLICARE store in Maroubra.

The latest ANGLICARE store to hit the streets, the Maroubra store offers a range of pre-loved clothing and accessories at prices that will go easy on your hip pocket.

While the shop has been operating in Maroubra for the last month, it was officially opened on Thursday, 18 November.

Located in the middle of Maroubra Junction, it is hoped that many in the community will come and take advantage of the great range of clothes and accessories on sale.

According to Shops Relationships manager Stephen Kuo, there has already been a very positive response to the new store.

“Fashion trends may change with time, but we’ve found the need for quality affordable clothing in a caring environment has remained constant for more than 50 years,” says Stephen.

“While there are quite affluent areas in the eastern suburbs, there are pockets of Maroubra where there still are a lot of social needs. A store like ours is just one way ANGLICARE can not only serve the fashion conscious with an eye for a bargain, but also provide for those who may be struggling to make ends meet.”

The new store will just be the start of ANGLICARE assisting the Maroubra community according to Mr Kuo. A community care office will also be part of the shop in the near future.

The ANGLICARE Maroubra shop will also be a local hub for five Anglican churches in the area. Working in partnership with St John’s Maroubra, Wild St, St Mark’s Malabar, Holy Trinity Kingsford and St Paul’s South Coogee, the new store will provide a new and valuable link for members of the church to care for their local community.
