Food and Family Fun at City 2 Surf

On Sunday August 10, Bondi will once again be in the hustle and bustle of City 2 Surf fever. To help ease some of the hectic times across the weekend ANGLICARE Sydney will host a one of a kind café with food and family entertainment.
‘Café ANGLICARE’ will be held at 60 Wairoa Avenue, North Bondi, just 200metres from the race finish line.
Jill Wrathall, Regional Manager of ANGLICARE’s South East Community Care Centre, said the café will be a great place for families to meet up for a chat and some fun.
“Friends and family who are waiting patiently for loved ones that are running and the runners themselves can come to Café ANGLICARE for a bite to eat and a rest after the big race,” said Ms Wrathall.
The café will be open on race day from 10am till 2pm. There will be a BBQ, drinks provided by Coca-Cola, Muffins thanks to Muffin Break in Bondi Junction, hot coffee and numerous family activities.
“We are going to have face painting, fairy floss, hair spraying, snow-cones, family games, and three up and coming bands; The Detours, Sevem Mi Lord and The Cameo playing live music all day,” said Ms Wrathall.
Runners who have elected ANGLICARE as their ‘Charity of Choice’ will be able to enjoy food and drinks at no cost, the general public will be charged a small fee.
Ms Wrathall, said Café ANGLICARE is the place to be on race day.
“Put on your running shoes and get amongst the great food, live music, fun activities and fabulous entertainment at Café ANGLICARE! There’ll be something for everyone!”
