Chesalon Care
As an established provider of residential aged care, Chesalon Care has an enviable record of achievement in the delivery of residential care to the frail aged.
Chesalon was founded in 1943, in response to a need for care for the elderly in the community. Initially this was through a home nursing service, and then later through the provision of residential care.
The first Chesalon home was opened in 1952. Today there are six Chesalon homes, providing permanent and respite accommodation for a total of 344 frail aged people, who require high-level care. In 2009 Chesalon will see the redevelopment of two of our homes, to increase capacity and offer a greater breadth of service provision.
Future developments include care provision for those requiring low-level care, as well as a greater choice of amenities, which Extra Services afford.
We are currently re-building our Jannali facility to offer low care, as well as high care, secure Dementia Care and Extra Services.
The planned development at the new Ingleburn Gardens Estate in Sydney South West also heralds a significant broadening of our service delivery. The new development will provide the full range of high and low-care accommodation services, as well as 43 assisted living units for those who choose a greater degree of independence than is provided by low care.
The inclusion of Extra Service places (currently available at our Beecroft facility) offers superior hotel facilities, while receiving quality high-care services. Residents can select from a wide range of lifestyle activities, and personal services, over and above their assessed care needs. Some of the advantages of Extra Services are: interior designed furnishings and décor; restaurant style dining; optional wine with meals; cable television; a private family dining (or function) room; and a substantial DVD/video library.
