Foster Care
Anglicare Out-of-Home Care Services runs foster care programs from two centres in Sydney, Telopea and Allambie. The programs which are offered SYDNEY-WIDE are:
- PERMANENT CARE
(long term placements for children) - PERMANENT CARE SUPPORT
(usually one weekend a month to support a child in a permanent placement) - BRIDGING PLACEMENTS
(usually medium term, up to two years, for children who are waiting for a permanent family) - COMMUNITY PLACEMENTS
(boarding situations for young people over 16)
For the NORTHERN & NORTHERN BEACHES REGIONS we also offer three additional programs
- CRISIS CARE
(usually short term or emergency care for a child or young person when their family is in a crisis. Operates 24 hours a day.) - TEMPORARY CARE
(short-medium term, up to 12 months, for children who are waiting a Court decision on their long term future, or who are to be restored to the care of their parent.) - WEEKEND CARE
(usually one weekend per month to support a child whose family is under stress)
