Kingsdene Respite Cottage
Sadly, due to a lack of sufficient government funding, ANGLICARE’s administration of the Kingsdene Residential School came to an end in December 2010.
While Kingsdene Residential School closes, ANGLICARE remains committed to supporting families who are in care of a child with a disability.
In 2011 ANGLICARE plans to launch the Kingsdene Respite Cottage located at Rooty Hill in western Sydney. The Kingsdene Respite Cottage will be a purpose-built, architecturally-designed respite care cottage, providing high quality residential care for children with an intellectual or physical disability and much-needed relief for their families. The Kingsdene Respite Cottage will cater for critically needed overnight respite care and will be able to support at least 100 families each year.
