Southern Sudanese Program

This Settlement Grants Program service provides information, referral and casework to members of the Southern Sudanese community. This Program operates at Parramatta, Guildford, St Marys and Auburn on specified days and has both male and female staff. This service is funded by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
Specific areas of assistance include: income support, English language assistance, employment, education and training, children youth and women’s services, health, family relationships, personal problems, computer skills and other relevant settlement issues.
Anglicare Sydney can also provide assistance to other services to help them work with members of this community. This includes:
• Liaison with workers regarding community members’ issues
• Providing information about the community and their issues
• Training services to work with the community
• Liaising between services and the community
