James joined Anglicare in 2006 as Anglicare Sydney’s Public Affairs Manager. He held this role for six years before becoming the Executive Officer in 2012. James has a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Arts in Journalism and a Master of International and Community Development. He has been employed in the not-for-profit sector since 1995, initially as a journalist and aid worker for World Vision Australia where he worked for emergency relief programs in Asia, Africa, the Balkans and Central America. He subsequently worked for a number of Australian-based not-for-profit organisations in senior management roles in marketing, fundraising and public affairs. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Anglican Media Council. He is married to Justine and they have two children. They are members of Bobbin Head Anglican Church.
