Share the Benefit
Share the Benefit is a shared experience. It’s where faith and life combine to raise awareness about poverty, and challenge us to live more simply and generously.
Inspired by Anglicare’s gospel-focused vision to care in Jesus’ name, Share the Benefit provides church congregations and small groups with the opportunity to share what the Bible has to say about reaching out to our neighbours in need.
In addition, by living for one week on a Newstart benefit allowance for food and drink, participants can share in a small but powerful way the restrictions experienced by many people living in poverty.
Share the Benefit is designed to be done by small groups over a three-week period. Each week consists of Bible study, prayer and discussion within your group combined with preparation, reflection and activity in your own time.
The emphasis throughout is on how Christian faith inspires us to live a life of care and generosity in response to God’s great love for us.

Take Love is about loving others. We love because Jesus first loved us. Take Love encourages youth ministries, schools and Christian groups to see ways to love those around them. It equips youth ministries in their mission to make disciples.
Take Love Clothing Collection
Every year thousands of people turn to Anglicare Shops for affordable clothing. There is always a great demand for good quality used clothes and we rely on the support of those who donate wearable clothing to stock our shops.
Something as simple as giving away the clothes you've grown out of or no longer wear, can help turn life around for someone else.
If you would like to apply for your school or youth group to participate in a Clothing Collection please email Ashleigh Lee-Joe, our Youth and Schools coordinator.
Toys 'n' Tucker
We think there’s no better way to share the joy of Christmas with people in need than through Toys ‘n’ Tucker. Join us in November, along with schools, businesses, churches, youth groups and community groups to collect food and toys in greater Sydney and the Illawarra.
It’s only through people’s generosity that Anglicare is able to provide Christmas food and gifts to thousands of families who would otherwise go without.
We will provide all the information and material you need to organise and promote your food and/or gifts collection. Anglicare takes your donated food and gifts to our warehouse at Villawood. Our team of volunteers sort and pack the Christmas hampers and gift parcels. Anglicare distributes these to thousands of families in our community who come to us for assistance.
