Matthew has just turned 13 and needs foster carers who can provide a safe, welcome home and sense of belonging. He has an interest in building Lego, superhero movies and reading comics. Matthew enjoys being active and likes to spend time outdoors bushwalking, camping and swimming.
Matthew attends school full time and engages in different programs which aim to assist him such as counselling, fitness programs before school and Scouts.
“Matthew is learning to trust adults again and when he does, that ‘s when you see him flourish. He invites you into his world and if you can step in that and build that relationship, that’s when you see the real Matthew” – Anton, Matthew’s Case Worker
Matthew would benefit from being the only child in the placement or being in a placement with older male children in the home so he can receive the support, attention an interaction he needs. Matthew’s foster carers will receive ongoing support from Anglicare. If you think you will be able to care for Matthew, please contact us.
