Our Anglicare At Home care services, products and activities are available to you whether you have access to government-subsidised services or would prefer to pay for them privately. While both options are available, how you access the services is different.
Government subsidised services
If you would like to receive financial support from the government there are a few steps you need to take. They are:
Step 1: Getting started
If you need help understanding your options, we are available to talk with you to understand your current situation, health needs and how you want to live each day. From this we can help you identify and understand the options that will benefit you the most.
Step 2: Organise an assessment
Next you, or your representative, should contact My Aged Care and arrange an assessment. The types and level of care and approval for Government- subsidised care services depends on your care needs and circumstances.
Call 1800 200 422 or visit www.myagedcare.gov.au
Step 3: Find a service provider
When you have your approval you need to find a home care provider who can offer the support, care, health services and activities you require.
Step 4: Enter a Home Care Agreement
This involves developing your own personalised plan, with the assistance of your provider if required, and working out the costs. While the government provides financial assistance, you may be required to contribute to the cost of your care.
Step 5: Begin your services and continue living independently at home.
Whether you qualify for government funding or not, you have the option to purchase Anglicare’s services; receiving the support you want when and where you choose. There is no need for any government assessment or evaluation.
If you need help now, you can enjoy the services you require without the wait and never go without help.
We would love to chat with you about your options, contact us today.
