Anglicare Sydney announces appointment of Chief Clinical Officer
Today, Anglicare Sydney can announce that Glenna Parker has been appointed as the new Chief Clinical Officer. Ms Parker will be responsible for quality and clinical governance across all of Anglicare’s operations.
“Ms Parker brings a wealth of clinical, regulatory, executive, and practical health and aged care experience to Anglicare,” Grant Millard, CEO of Anglicare Sydney, said.
Ms Parker has been consulting as an assessor with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission for the last four years. Prior to that, Ms Parker was Ramsay Health Care’s National Clinical Governance Manager. She has also been the Director of Clinical Services for a private hospital in Victoria and worked as a nurse assessor for the Victorian Department of Health.
“Ms Parker’s appointment means Anglicare’s residents, clients, staff, and families can have assurance that someone with strong clinical rigour, deep knowledge of health and aged care issues, and a thorough understanding of the regulatory process will be serving them.
“With the recommendations from the Aged Care Royal Commission being implemented by government, and a new Aged Care Act to be developed over the next 4 years, Ms Parker’s expertise are timely and valuable additions for us and those we serve.
“Anglicare is positioning itself to be an Australian leader in aged care services into the future. While the pandemic was difficult, we have only been strengthened by the lessons we have learned.
“Our resolve is to be an aged care provider the sector looks to and government looks to in developing care for older Australians and provide dignity to those we serve,” Mr Millard concluded.
