Anglicare will be expanding its services into the Southern Highlands in partnership with churches and other community organisations within the next few months.
Moving away from delivering services from a single location, the organisation will work closely with local volunteers and partners to deliver Food and Financial Assistance to the wider Highland Community from many different locations.
“This move will allow us to deliver services to more people in need. Rather than concentrating our services in one location, we will now work in several outreach locations across different parts of the Southern Highlands,” explains Teresa Clark, Head of Food and Financial Assistance at Anglicare.
“Over the next few months we will be working with local community members and key stakeholders in the region to identify places of need. This will also include working with Parishes to determine the best way to provide practical material assistance, Christian Care, and meaningful relationships.
“I would like to acknowledge the positive impact the Moss Vale office and book shop had on the local community over many years, and recognise the staff, volunteers, donors and Parishes who have been so instrumental in the success of this work.
“We look forward to extending the reach of our Food and Financial Assistance program, strengthening our partnerships, and making new links in the community.”
Anglicare’s Moss Vale office will remain open until the end of June 2019.
