It is time to do good by looking good. National Op Shop Week starts on the 30 September and this year organisers are encouraging the community to get involved.
“There are three main ways people can help. We appreciate their thoughtful donations. They can volunteer at our local Op Shop. And they can dust off their comfortable walking shoes, and visit one of our shops for that perfect find,” says Stephen Kuo, Anglicare Head of Retail.
Throughout the week Anglicare stores will be having a half-price sale on all its stock. Customers at each Anglicare shop could also win one of five $20 shop vouchers with every purchase.
According to Stephen, there are always plenty of bargains for sale every week.
“Having said all that, you don't have to wait until it’s sale time as we stock affordable merchandise at all times. So, when you’re in the area, do come visit us,” says Stephen.
“Funds raised from our stores go back to Anglicare to help run community programs throughout Sydney and the Illawarra. If you’re searching for something different to wear, and you want to help others, shopping at a charity store is a great way to do both.”
National Op Shop Week 2018, 30 September – 6 October, looks to help charities raise more funds for their work in the community by boosting clothing stocks and sales.
The Anglicare Campbelltown Store will be hosting a morning tea on Friday, 5 October from 10:30am. All are invited!
