Equip

Equip your ministry leaders and church members with the skills, and knowledge to meet the needs in your community.

Pastoral care training

Anglicare offers a selection of Pastoral Care Workshops and Courses to equip both your church family and your ministry staff. The training explores the intersection of faith and practice, as well as the ongoing challenge of caring for yourself while you care for others. All workshops and courses are based on clear, biblical foundations to help your church community love like Jesus.

Reality Bites - Bible study

Reality Bites is a Bible study series to help your church family explore the complex issue of poverty. Over the course of three weeks, they’ll discover God’s heart for the poor and learn what The Bible says about loving our neighbours who are in need.

Best of all, this is a whole of church study! It caters for every member of your church family, and offers appropriate studies, questions and learning activities for children, youth and adults.

With games for children, service activities for your youth group, and discussion prompts for adults, this three-week Bible study is one your whole church family will love.

Before it Starts - youth program

This free, four-week youth group has been developed for your youth ministry by Anglicare and Youthworks. It will help your young people to build healthy relationships, recognise domestic abuse and set boundaries to help stop abuse before it starts.

We get it, it’s a tricky topic! But it’s also an important one when it comes to growing safe and respectful church communities. This program is an opportunity for young people to reflect on beliefs, attitudes and behaviours from a biblical perspective.

Your resources also come with suggested avenues for getting help and key information for leaders on how to respond to disclosures of abuse.

Workshops and courses for your church family

Equip your church family with training to tackle the big issues facing people today. From building their parenting and relationship skills, to responding to domestic and family violence.

We’ll work in partnership with you to develop a training plan that allows you to harness your congregation’s unique strengths and utilise our expertise as you have need.

All training is delivered through evidence-based courses, workshops and resources. To find out more, please contact your Partnership Development Officer.
