Studies show that people who volunteer are happier and live longer!
Their gift of time and energy creates a positive outcome for their community and contributes to a vibrant and caring neighbourhood.
This is all not surprising to us. At Anglicare, we have more than 2300 volunteers helping us with our Christian-based community projects and our volunteers play an important role in enhancing the quality of our clients and resident’s lives.
Anglicare has a diverse range of volunteers
- Individuals from the local area
- Anglicare residents
- School groups
- Family members
- Corporate groups
- Other local organisations
- Anglicare staff who also enjoy volunteering during their free time
You can volunteer for a diverse range of roles. You could help out by driving a bus, playing the piano, running a Bingo night, helping in any of our shops, being a youth mentor, being a maths tutor, doing some gardening, helping out in the kitchen or the café, working in the library, helping out in our men’s and women’s groups, or teaching language or art classes. The opportunities are endless. Training is provided for all our volunteers and you’ll be supported in your role by our Volunteer Coordinators.
