Anglicare supports gambling reform

At Anglicare, our mission is to strengthen communities, enrich lives and share the love of Jesus. Through our work in financial counselling, mental health, family and domestic violence, aged care and housing, and we seek to support the emotional, social, and financial lives of those we serve.

Every day we see first-hand the significant harm gambling can cause, particularly for people already facing disadvantage and their families. Gambling addiction undermines financial security, strains relationships, and deepens vulnerability.

We join Wesley Mission in calling for urgent reform to reduce gambling harm in our communities, and for all those in positions of power to take the responsible actions the community clearly demands.
