Support at Home is a new program, introduced by the Government, to support senior Australians who want to live independently and safely in their own homes for as long as possible. It offers a wide range of services to meet care needs, including personal care, nursing, allied health services, and social support.
The initiative is part of the Aged Care Act 2024, and combines several existing in-home care programs into one, making it easier to access the support you need. Support at Home will begin 1 July 2025 and will replace the existing Home Care Package (HCP) program and Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) programs.
We'll continue to keep you informed on this page as we receive updates from the Government. Our goal is to help you feel confident and supported as we more through this transition together — with just a little help from Anglicare at Home.
