Farrer Brown Court

After breakfast you join the craft group for painting - something new you’ve started since moving into Farrer Brown Court. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming you felt confident to try something new and now look forward to it each week.

After lunch a group of you head to the central lounge area and listen to Mary play the piano. Her music fills the air with familiar melodies you all can sing and clap along to. Mary’s playing draws people together, creating moments of joy and connection throughout the home.

 

When lunch and dinner comes around, the dining room has a vibrant energy. Mealtimes are an enjoyable experience that you look forward to, socialising with your friends and with a glass of wine when you choose. You’re grateful for the variety of choice and freshly prepared options the hospitality team prepare each day. Next month you’ve decided to join the food focus group to work with the team on the next menu. You have always enjoyed cooking, so you’re pleased to be involved and contribute. 

 

As you retire to your room for the evening, you reflect on your day and your time at Farrer Brown Court so far. A big decision at the time to leave your family home, and everything that was familiar to you, but you’re pleased you did. You’re happy you made the move on your own terms, choosing a residential aged care home that feels right for you, a place where you can embrace the social atmosphere, enjoy activities, continue your favourite hobbies, and even explore new ones.

Yet perhaps what you value most are the friendships you’ve built since moving in. On quieter days, when you’re not up for much, it’s comforting to know that you’re surrounded by a supportive and friendly community.

You also appreciate the respectful balance of independence and care the staff provide, they’re always there when you need them.
