Lots of issues that can lead to young people becoming disengaged from education, employment, family and community. Our youth programs offer individual support, counselling, education and practical assistance to help young people re-establish relationships and break out of destructive cycles of living.
Reconnect is a free program offering ongoing support to young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, working with them and their families to resolve conflict and restore relationships. Reconnect services are available to young people aged between 12 and 18 years (or 12 to 21 years for those recently arrived in Australia) who are experiencing difficulties within their family, peer group or school relationships and are thinking about leaving home or have recently left home. We work with each person according to their particular situation and offer a range of support including counselling and mediation, and assistance with issues such as family reconciliation, education, employment, accommodation, legal problems, health and dealing with Centrelink.
