Roden Cutler Lodge is a residential aged care home located in the upper north shore suburb of Gordon. Situated amongst natural bushland and the quiet, leafy streets the home creates a peaceful environment for residents and will be home to 107 residents. It features pleasant outdoor terraces and extensive greenery.
Person-centred care is at the forefront of this home’s design with dedicated care staff as well as dementia-friendly spaces. Residents’ rooms include high-quality fittings, air conditioning and a flat screen television.
Roden Cutler Lodge has a dedicated lifestyle team to provide regular activities for residents. This team also facilitates our Rhythm of Life® program, giving residents a choice in how they spend their day from meals to activities, outings and more.
Onsite with our Gordon Quarter Retirement Village, the grounds include heritage-listed buildings that reflect the rich history of the estate. The present boundaries of Roden Cutler Lodge approximately comprises the former grounds of two homes, ‘Pittmedden’ and ‘Cheshunt’. Both of these properties were purchased by John Woolcott Forbes in 1936 and subsequently demolished for a new house called, ‘Burnham Thorpe’. The Burnham Thorpe building was purchased by the Red Cross Society in 1940 and opened as Lady Gowrie home in 1941 and still stands today as part of Anglicare’s village.
