Safe and Strong Program

Safe and Strong

Free family and relationship support for parents in Cumberland LGA

Relationships and family life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be experiencing more conflict at home, feeling worried about your partner's behaviour, or simply feeling that something isn't right.

Safe and Strong provides free and confidential support for parents and caregivers with children under 18 living in the Cumberland LGA. Our team can support you with relationship and family concerns, including situations where you may be experiencing or at risk of domestic and family violence.

You don't need to wait until things reach a crisis point. We can listen to what's happening, help you understand your options and work with you towards greater safety and stability for you and your children.

How can Safe and Strong help?

Everyone’s situation is different. We’ll work with you to understand what you and your family need and help you take the next steps.

Depending on your circumstances, we may be able to help with:

  • counselling and emotional support
  • relationship and family concerns
  • safety for you and your children
  • parenting and family wellbeing
  • practical concerns such as housing or employment
  • building confidence and stability
  • connecting with other services and support.

Our support is trauma-informed and culturally safe, with you and your children’s wellbeing at the centre.
