Our Chaplains and Pastoral Carers seek to provide for the spiritual and emotional needs of all of our residents and clients in the community.
Anglicare values every person as an individual, created in the image of God. Yet in this broken world, we are all in need of Christ's love, grace and salvation. We are committed to providing Christ-centred care to our clients, residents and staff, holding out the truth about the death and resurrection of Jesus. For it is only by faith in him that we can have our spiritual need as a human being met.
The Mission and Partnerships Team seek to equip our people to love, serve and witness to all in our care. We are charged with facilitating Christian ministry across the organisation through chaplaincy ministries, along with pastoral care services and training. Ministry and Partnerships also works on behalf of the Diocese to provide chaplaincy services into the public space in Justice, Health and Mental Health contexts.
As we carry out our Mission, our Partnership Development Team is constantly looking for ways to build mutually beneficial relationships with Parishes and others.
Anglicare in partnership with Sydney Anglican Diocese has produced an online training resource for ministry personnel to recognise and respond to domestic abuse.
The KNOW Domestic Abuse course can be accessed by via the Safe ministry training website. Posters and resources for churches on how to respond to domestic abuse and where to find help are available online.
Our Chaplains and Pastoral Carers seek to provide for the spiritual and emotional needs of all of our residents and clients in the community.
Partnership is an essential element of our mission as we work alongside local churches so that more people are reached and cared for in Jesus’ name.
Prayer is vital part of vision and life of Anglicare. It is a mainstay of our day-to-day work, a feature of our celebrations and a significant way in which many supporters contribute to our mission of Serving people in need, enriching lives, sharing the love of Jesus.
Through the Anglicare Prayer Diary you can pray for those who undertake and support our work and for all who are cared for in the name of Christ.
